Terms of Use

Last updated 23 October 2026

These terms cover the FujiSims app and the FujiSims Pro subscription. FujiSims is made by Harry Kyffin (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

1. Apple's licence agreement

Your licence to use the app comes from Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to it. If the two disagree, the Standard EULA wins.

2. What's free and what's Pro

Without paying, you can read your camera's C1–C7 slots, back them up and restore them, edit recipes, keep a recipe library, and write recipes to C1–C3.

FujiSims Pro adds writing recipes to C4–C7 and, once it's released, iCloud sync of your library and backups.

Backing up and restoring your camera will always be free.

3. Subscriptions

4. If Pro ends

If your subscription lapses, writing to C4–C7 locks again and sync pauses. Nothing is deleted: your library, your backups and the recipes already on your camera all stay. Backing up, restoring and writing to C1–C3 keep working.

5. Your camera

FujiSims changes settings stored in your camera. It works with the camera models listed in the app and on our support page, using the camera's own connection features. It does not modify the camera's firmware.

The camera has no undo for a slot that's been overwritten. The app checks values against what the camera accepts, warns you before overwriting a slot, and lets you back up and restore your slots at any time. Even so, it relies on how Fujifilm cameras store their settings, which Fujifilm doesn't publish and may change in a firmware update. Please back up before writing, and use the app only with camera models it says it supports.

FujiSims doesn't touch your photos or memory cards.

6. Not affiliated with Fujifilm

FujiSims is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or supported by FUJIFILM Corporation. FUJIFILM, the camera model names and the film simulation names are trademarks of FUJIFILM Corporation, used here only to say which cameras and settings the app works with. Please don't contact Fujifilm about FujiSims; contact us instead.

7. Our responsibility to you

We'll provide the app with reasonable care and skill, and fix problems we're told about where we reasonably can. If you're a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that isn't as described, fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality, and nothing in these terms affects them.

We aren't responsible for loss or damage that wasn't foreseeable, or that was caused by using the app with a camera model it doesn't support, by changes Fujifilm makes to its cameras, or by events outside our reasonable control. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for FujiSims Pro in the twelve months before the problem arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes, for example when iCloud sync is released. We'll post the new version here with a new date. If a change significantly affects your subscription, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you don't agree.

9. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your local consumer law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
